Any Suggestions?

My sister sent me some Hazelnut Flour from an orchard near her home. Has anyone ever used this? or have any suggestions for use? She sprinkles hers on top of yogurt, but says it can be used in baking. The website suggests a pie crust, so I thought I might try that, but I don't make pies too terribly often...let me know if you have any ideas!

Mmmm, what about breading for fish? Or in cookies? Or a warm, nutty taste in bread? I'm going to check my vegetarian cookbook, they use stuff like that sometimes.

Hazelnut flour? Is that just ground hazelnuts? There was once a post on smittenkitchen.com for a hazelnut brown butter cake that I thought looked so good, but also like it would be a lot of trouble because of having to toast and peel and grind hazelnuts. But maybe you could try it?? Here's the link:

One website I looked at said that the flour does not include all the nut, so it isn't just ground nuts. It suggested you replace 1/3 of the flour in recipes with the hazelnut flour. Another said it is just ground nuts, and to replace 1/4 of the flour.

There are a bunch of other recipes out there. Here is one that looks really tasty: http://www.eatingoutloud.com/2007/04/hazelnut-flour-power.html
